The Bavarian interior minister Joachim Hermann reopened the modernised and extended rescue hoist training facility of the Bavarian Mountain Rescue on 8. May 2016. One of the highlights of the event in Bad Toelz was the new Rescue Hoist Trainer (RHT), which is designed, manufactured and donated by AMST.

The WATS 2016 (World Aviation Training Symposium) took place 19th–21st April in the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, FL. AMST was participating and strengthening its network in the civil aviation domain.

From 24th to 28th April 2015, AMST attended the ASMA meeting in Atlantic City. On 28th April the Kent G. Gillingham Award was given to Mr. David G. Schall, MD, MPH, for his significant contributions in the fields of spatial disorientation and situational awareness related to flight. The award sponsored by AMST was handed over by Brig. Gen. (rtd) Dr. Erich Rödig.

Thales UK and AMST were awarded the contract for a human training centrifuge for the RAF from DE&S. Thales UK is responsible for the overall project including building and operation. AMST delivers the human training centrifuge. The centrifuge will be equipped with cockpits for Typhoon, Hawk MK II and F-35. The final acceptance will be in October 2018.

AMST completed the installation of the basic Ejection Seat Trainer (EST) at the Vietnamese Air Force Hospital in Hanoi on schedule. The customer accepted the system without any deficiencies or defects.

AMST handed over the Virtual Terrain Image Generation System (VTIGS) to the Institute of Aviation Medicine in Prague. VTIGS is a computer-based system which takes night vision training to the next level.
