The 4th User Congress was held in the Westin Bellevue Hotel, Dresden from the 11th to 15th October 2013. The event was attended by more than 70 delegates from 26 nations which globally meant four of the five continents were represented from Australia, Japan to both North and South America.

The Royal Saudi Arabia Armed Forces Medical Services Department (SAAFMSD) has decided for the AMST’s Ejection Procedure Trainer which is a combination of a Flight Simulator and an Ejection Seat Trainer. The contract also includes two Barany chairs for basic disorientation demonstration as well as the newly developed Positive Pressure Breathing trainer.

AIRFOX ASD - Advanced Spatial Disorientation Trainer - received the Flight Simulation Training Device Qualification Certificate “AT – FNPT – 1061” from Austro Control GmbH (ACG).

In 2013 AMST received a contract for the upgrade of their two AIRFOX DISOs, installed at Royal Air Force Centre of Aviation Medicine. It comprises the installation of a screen with 73° by 43° FOV, a projector with IR capability and flight controls equipped with a control loading system. In the centre of the screen a fibre optic light source is installed for Nystagmus demonstration.

The Federal Ministry of Defence and Sports awarded a contract for a motion based pilot selection simulator for screening and selection of pilots. This product is the first of its kind developped by AMST. The simulator has a 6 DOF motion platform. One of the key requirements was the transportability of the system in order to use it in different places in Austria.

The RTAF Institute of Aviation Medicine received their new AIRFOX ASD. In addition to the customised high-resolution database covering the whole area of Thailand, including six high detailed airports, the RTAF also received the aircraft model for PC-9 and the helicopter model Bell 412.
